Dear Diary
Wow…………….this has been long overdue! Mother dearest has been “flying under the radar” and will be doing so again next week! She is awaiting the arrival of a dear aunt of hers she has not seen since her much much younger days, which of course means, no diary sessions, no spoiling but I do trust she will give me some attention……..otherwise, she knows what is good for her! I become extremely vocal!
Great news! The “girl power” is 99% finished with their ‘décor’ and maintenance in the flat. I would love to dedicate this diary session to my ‘Aunt Charmaine’……she will kill me ……..she does not like ‘children’ and will not be impressed to hear me addressing her as ‘Aunt’….but bless her, she is the most interesting person I have met in your ‘human world’! My golly…..there is not a thing she cannot do and if she does not know how….she makes a point of getting to know how to do it!
Bless mother dearest- that is sometimes on her ‘own little planet’…..she must be getting old! She was so in ‘awe’ with what her sis has achieved this week! She has been drilling, polly fill, painting, making windowsills, putting wire in trunkings…….you name it, she did it! The PC was ‘unplugged’ for a week and moved to the lounge. Low and behold…..she did not get around dad, he put his foot down and demanded the PC does not stay in the lounge…..had to go back to guess where………..we have a name change….no more the “happy room”! The two old girls have made it so ‘serene’……they are now calling it the “Zen room”……do not ask this ‘bird’ what it means but mother dearest is a different person! Smiling all the time, dancing around…..you would think she has won the Lotto!
Amazing what a ‘lick of paint’ and a few changes can do to a woman’s personality! I know for sure……dad is happy about the happy old girl. I have overheard him saying at times…….she must be “on the Tour de France”………and he would say “you are earning your yellow jersey before you get to the mountain”……no idea what that means but must be certain times that mom must be driving him crazy! Nothing new to add to my “vocab”…..but I have been chirping a lot!
