Evan Almighty producer Neal Moritz teams up with Roseanna's Grave director Paul Weiland to release this feel-good romantic comedy that takes a look at love from the male perspective and proves that it's never too late to find your true soul mate.
For playboy Tom (Patrick Dempsey, Mcdreamy from Grey's Anatomy), life is good; he's good-looking, wealthy and has great luck with the ladies. He also knows that he can always rely on Hannah (Michelle Monaghan, The Heartbreak Kid), his delightful best friend and the one constant in his life.
Hannah acts as a sounding board for the questions Tom has about life. She's his buddy, and his pal. She is also the perfect date to take to the many elegant society events to which Tom is invited. It's a perfect setup for both of them – They are the perfect pair without having to face the difficulties of being a couple.
However, when Hannah goes overseas to Scotland on a six-week business trip, Tom is stunned to realize how much he has come to rely on her good judgment as well as her company, and he cannot believe how empty his life is without her.
He resolves that when she gets back, he'll ask Hannah to marry him, but is floored when he learns that while she was abroad, she met and got engaged to a handsome and wealthy Scotsman (Kevin Mckidd) and plans to move overseas.
Then the clearly ecstatic Hannah asks Tom, her best friend in the world, to be her Maid of Honor. At first he is reluctant to accept as the thought of standing by while the love of his life marries someone else appals him.
However, he soon decides to fill the role and attempt to woo Hannah and stop the wedding before it's too late.
