Dear diary I am back! At last……..mmmm, between the alterations, my mom’s flu-3rd time this year, flu jab and all, I am happy to report……all is well with Barney! Feel free to take a peek at my “video shoot” taken on 20 August! I was really showing off and at my best behaviour. You will notice that I am one very happy chappy! Everything is on track in this household…….lots of love and attention…..the old lady and her sis finally got everything back in place and the old man is very satisfied with that!Talking about the old lady. She has “invested” in a laptop and my oh my, at her age trying to get all this ‘techno’ under control is something to smile about! She hardly got used to all her new “toys” and here she brings in more new “toys”! Well, must credit her, she is trying! She just needs to get her last bit of “chaos” in place, get the Olympics behind her and venture out to go and do some events! Not that I would like to be left alone for too long, but I know she is keen to try out her new laptop!Seeing that my mom is “not really venturing out much lately”……let us elaborate on me…….Barney, the African Grey, Number 1 in this household! As you know, African Grey’s ‘store’ everything in their memory. Well, so much for my mommy trying to turn the “F-word” my dad taught me 1 year ago…..into “I love you too”. During the week I told my mommy “F……k you mommy!"....and she replied "did you just tell me F…..k you" and I duly replied NO,”…….never underestimate an African Grey! Please take note all you African Grey lovers………..when I am at home alone with my mom, which is by the way 8 days a week…….I love her to bits, get off my cage walk to wherever she is, get my way, on her shoulder and I am very loving to her. But…………….mmmm, the minute the old man gets home….I go off my ‘trolley’…..cause I love my dad sooooooooo much! When he goes to the computer to look at all his “soccer results….mmmm, whatever that means……..I go bannanas…….and when he gets back to the bedroom and mom tries to stroke me……I bite her with a vengeance!I have a feeling that the old lady is going to leave me on my own a lot in the coming weeks……mmmm, she seems extremely ‘hyped up’! Listening to this ‘foreign language music’…….I think this is Afrikaans……. I think she does miss her “mother tongue”, we live in a very English environment…………but good luck to her! My mom is a person that likes to ‘bounce off’ someone else….but hey, she is just mom! You go for it mom……get out and go for it………I will always be here when you get back!
